Help for students in search of federal financial aid for college

Embark has created a new, entirely free service that helps US students apply for government financial aid.

For over 20 years, Embark has provided colleges and schools with software to manage their application process. TeensParentsTeachers first contacted the company ten years ago so we could stay connected with each other on trends in admissions. Now Embark has turned its attention to helping students navigate one of the most challenging steps in that process, claiming their financial aid by filing their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid®).

Embark understands that paying for college or grad school can be a major challenge and has designed TurboFAFSA to take the stress out of the process.  Since aid from schools and the government is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, students should aim to complete the application as soon as possible. Please share this link with students and their families: https://turbofafsa.com.

Here are some highlights from the TurboFAFSA website:

  • Our platform is free, fast, and easy to use
  • Answer only the questions you need to with our simplified application flow.
  • Optionally register your parents to help you fill out their personal financial information.
  • Use our auto-complete tools to look up information like school addresses for you.
  • Receive a reminder next year with your draft FAFSA® ready for updates.
