Helping Parents...Helping Teens
For 30 years, Marja Brandon has dedicated herself to education (as a teacher, dean of students, and school head), working with young people and their families. With an Ed. M from Harvard she has developed an energetic, engaging style that puts an emphasis on respecting students and exploring the powerful connections between student-centered learning, high expectations, neuroscience, and self-esteem. In 2000, she helped found the Seattle Girls’ School. As a Quaker and part of a multiracial family, Marja places a high value on social justice and diversity.

YOUNG PEOPLE ARE CHANGING THE WORLD. Teens are creating and leading organizations to help other teens.
Welcome to Robbie's Hope.
"We are a movement. An uprising of teens to help other teens. We’ve made it our mission to stop the suicide epidemic that’s taking the lives of our friends." Click for More Info.
We are an online communication and information center that encourages reflection and discussion among students, parents, and teachers about issues important to young people in their journey to adulthood. Topics include education, college admissions, college life, health, eating disorders, addictions, sexuality, race, bullying, and other issues and news events. The articles we post are written by college and high school students, as well as by professionals. We invite parents, teens, and teachers to our website to pose questions, express opinions, and offer comments.
Embedded in the concept for our website is our philosophy of offering a broad reading experience through highly informative, insightful material that presents many points of view. We strive to maintain a sensitivity to the needs of diverse families, and we are committed to including material pertaining to issues of multiculturalism, gender bias, and racial diversity. In addition to the many interesting articles, we provide links to other resources dedicated to the well-being of young people.
